Indian bowlers bowled without any luck: Sachin Tendulkar on England defeat
Former captain Sachin Tendulkar is not disheartened by India’s performance against England and called the loss as just a small setback in their World Cup campaign so far.
England posted 337 on the board after opting to bat first and then restricted India to 306 for 5 to get back to winning ways in the tournament in Birmingham on Sunday.
“When England won the toss, they decided to bat. I had said 315 would be an ideal score. England got off to a flyer. Bairstow, his fluency, and Roy. I think they complement each other. THey run well. When Vince was there, we didn’t see this Bairstow. And Roy brings a suprise element. He is so much in Viru Sehwag’s mode. He is fearless. He backs himself and he played some incredible shots and that kind of sets the platform.
“Without any doubt, our bowlers really bowled well but without any luck. The batters were beaten, outside edges and inside edges went for a boundary,” Sachin Tendulkar told India Today.
